Thank you all, so much!
My most humble thanks to everyone who warmed my house with their presence this Open Studio Season. It was a total success - with time to talk to almost everyone, great weather, some happy tears, and a lot of wonderful "adoptions" that took place. You have all given me license to keep doing what I am doing, and the means to do so.
My walls are bare but my heart is full. The best part...one of the best parts is that I get to meet everyone that takes a painting home. It's an incredible opportunity that I hope I get to do for the rest of my life.
So - I wanted to touch base and let you all know where I will be hanging my new work, and when. I'm fixin' to have a few new pieces up at the Black Crow by mid-week to replace those that have been sold - so, there's that. I'm expecting 3 or 4 new ones.
I'll be working on a New Line of artwork for Savannah James in downtown Chico (A real treat! You really must go and treat yourself to something special and quite possibley hand-made or sprinkled with story or just really old and beautiful). The address is 236 Broadway, Suite A - and the owner is Sarah. She's wonderful. ANYWAY - I anticipate on having new artwork at her shop near the second week of November. They should be different than my usual stuff - lots of text, found objects, humor...well, similar in concept to my regular work - but there will be a definite diversion, as these will only be sold in her shop.
Stay tuned...I'm thinking about having another studio show in Mid-December. I'll keep you posted.
